Biography

Andross, a major force in the Lylat wars, hired Wolf and his Star Wolf team to keep the opposing force, the Star Fox team, at bay. Wolf's motives to do so are rather blurry. Though there clearly is a rivalry between him and Fox, it is unclear why beyond a possible connection with Fox's father, James. As part of the deal, Andrew Oikonny, Andross's nephew, was also directly brought into the Star Wolf team. For the first time in Fichina, the two Star Teams would meet where Fox and his team defused a bomb in a Cornerian military base. Their confrontation was swift, with Wolf chasing after Fox but was eventually pushed back into space and far from the Star Fox team. The two would meet again at an assault on the Bolse Defense Satellite, but Star Fox would prove too much for the Wolfen ships of Star Wolf once again.

After the defeat of Andross, Wolf and the rest ditched the Venomian Army. Andrew withdrew from the team, and Wolf kicked off Pigma and brought Panther Caroso in his place. After drifting from job to job, Wolf eventually became the leader of a group of Venomian deserters. While Wolf was away from his hideout, Star Fox attacked it in search of Pigma. Upon his return Star Wolf gave chase, and a confrontation followed, one he would lose. As he retreated, he informed Fox that Pigma was no longer part of his group.

From here on, the relationship between Wolf and Fox would warm somewhat as a bigger threat to the systems that loomed over every planet. the Aparoid, a parasitic living being, was beginning to invade. Wolf then began helping the Star Fox team in containing and eventually destroying this threat. Mostly by helping in the final assault on the Aparoid homeworld. Even with a newfound respect for each other, their rivalry continues.

In competitive Super Smash Bros Ultimate Wolf is generally viewed as a great character with many options at his disposal. Unfortunately, he is also not particularly strong and one single thing while also vulnerable to combos and recovering from off the stage. Nevertheless, Wolf often adapts to the player's playstyle, and for high-level players, he is a malleable fighter.
