Overpowered - Viable at any skill level
Guilty Gear -Strive- is probably the culmination of all that the series' story has been building towards for all of these years, spanning seven games and many spinoffs. When played, it is clear why Guilty Gear has always been one of the most in-depth and sophisticated fighting game series out there. Its complexity is one of the factors that has made it so popular, making it one of the more complex series to get into for newcomers in the past.
GGST's base roster of 15 characters features a terrific mix of long-serving veterans and fan favourites, as well as two brand-new characters, each with their look, attitude, and playstyle.
In a manner that few other games have, the series, which is recognized for its highly technical set of mechanics, rewards players for taking the time to grasp both its universal concepts and the nuances of its particular characters.
GGST knows all the right moves when eager for a challenge or want to goof about with an excellent, sharp-looking combat game. What is a challenge or a superb fighting game without a tier list?
A Guilty Gear game should have a corresponding tier list, and we have compiled one which would be periodically updated due to DLC characters, patches, and updates. It is the combined opinions of a stratum of pro players, streamers, and game connoisseurs, ranking the characters from Overpowered (S) to Bland (C) and should not be taken as the holy grail.
