DBFZ at PlayStation Fight Nights Invitational (May 2023)

Fighting esports has different dimensions. Dragon Ball FighterZ players may enjoy top-level matches at such events as Texas Showdown 2023. Also, we may watch fights of significantly smaller online tournaments, such as Online WarriorZ (and someone is skilled enough to even participate in those). 

And also, there are tourneys for a rather general audience, where more players have a chance to compete and shine. They regularly happen on the platform PlayStation Tournaments. After succeeding in them, you may get invited to one of the Fight Nights Invitationals. Such an event happened just recently. Let’s take a look!

One of the most interesting aspects of these esports events is the more active usage of unusual team composition. Just check out the section below — Lab Coat is here alright, but she is accompanied not only by the Fusions.

Dany, the winner of PS Fight Nights Invitational in February 2023 and December 2022, quite confidently reached the Grand Final. The player lost only one game to Giganton in the Winners Final.

Meanwhile, the path of Gish was a bit shakier. This player lost to Nova_Pegaso in the Quarter-Final and fell into the Losers brackets. Then, after defeating four opponents (including Nova_Pegaso), Gish proceeded to the Grand Final.

Gish started the match by winning game 1. But Dany recovered pretty quickly, and did not let this advantage get bigger — he won games 2 and 3.

Gish wasn’t an easy victim, though. He switched the team (to one with 18 and Janemba) and won game 4 without losing even one character. But adaptation seems to be one of the strongest skills for Dany. The other team of Gish was totally destroyed in the decisive game.
