Biography

Biography

Tien Shinhan is rightfully considered to be one of the strongest warriors on Earth. Initially, he was a ruthless and cold follower of Crane School, whose sole purpose was to take revenge on Goku for defeating his master Mercenary Tao. He used to fight without any reservations and with extreme viciousness. However, with Master Roshi’s help, he realized that his ways were wrong, and he started to become an allied figure to the main characters.

Tien’s most prominent feature is his third eye, which is a feature of the race he is a descendant of – Triclops, or Three-Eyed People. His race’s original homeworld is unknown, so he can easily be considered an Earthling. It’s understood that most of the prominent traits his people possess are to be used for good purposes. Therefore, after joining the evil Crane School and learning under Master Shen and Mercenary Tao, he lost most of these powers.

After turning his back on evil, he started to show incredible feats of bravery, taking on enemies several magnitudes more powerful than him, and constantly breaking his limits to try to match them. Viciousness gave way to high discipline and the ambition to always better himself.

Gameplay

Pros & Cons

One of the peculiarities of Tien in DBFZ is that to use his most devastating moves, he needs to sacrifice his resources. The damage he can dish out is extraordinary even by this game’s measure, but he has to pay for it with his own health. In addition to this, he sports solid mixups, and his assist variety is not to be scoffed at. His biggest downside is that his damage without meters and supers is easily below par, which can make him vulnerable at times.

Nevertheless, he can be a decent anchor for any team and can quickly finish off low-health opponents if played correctly.
