Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, the sequel many fans have been looking forward to playing, has finally been released. There are various ways you can experience the game, its story, and its multiplayer content, and in this DashFight article, we will walk you through each. Free Edition

You can actually experience GBFVR for free across all platforms, though your experience will be limited. It is worth noting that if you buy the Standard or Deluxe editions, your progress from free will carry over.

What can you play for free? Four characters, one of which is Gran, alongside three rotating characters. You can also access some single-player features with Arcade, Versus, and Part One of the Story mode. You can also play ranked and casual matches online, including crossplay, lobbies, and Grand Bruise Legends. Finally, you will be leveled capped, with 80 for your character and 40 for Legends.

Standard Edition

If you want to purchase the full game, you of course have the option of buying it for PC via Steam, or for PlayStation 5 or 4. The PS version of the standard edition includes an item set for Granblue Fantasy, though you'll need to activate them before December 31st.

The Standard Edition has the full game story, all 28 characters, a complete figure studio, and even the ability to carry over your saves from the original Grandblue Fantasy Versus.

Deluxe Edition

Finally, the Deluxe Edition of GBFVR includes a handful of digital goodies when you start the game:

•  3 Weapon Skins for the 28 Base Characters
•  Deluxe Character Pass Part 1:
  • 6 DLC Characters and Premium Avatars
  • 4 Color Variants for the 6 DLC Characters
