A long time ago, before the war between Sky Dwellers and Astrals, Cagliostro used to be an ordinary, sick little boy on the brink of death. With help from her younger sister, Cagliostro tirelessly looked for ways to overcome her weakness and ultimately become stronger. After many failed attempts, Cagliostro managed to create a new female body for herself and transfer her soul into it. But Cagliostro did not stop and continued to hone her technique, eventually founding the Alchemy as a practice.
Though Cagliostro taught her younger sister the ways of alchemy and continued her research with her aid, the sibling was not as interested in immortality as Cagliostro was. Eventually, she chose a simple life with her husband and children. In return for years of help, Cagliostro bought a whole island for her sister to live in peace till the end of her days, where she was at some point put to rest.
Astrals approached Cagliostro once, offering power in exchange for her obedience, but Cagliostro refused and even managed to push back when they tried to force her.
One day, the guild of Alchemists of Helmuth decides that Cagliostro is too chaotic and unpredictable in her actions and attempts to contain her. Using the destruction alchemy, Cagliostro's main weakness, they sealed her for hundreds of years.
Though Cagliostro might look and sound like a little girl, her ego is huge. She is a narcissistic individual who constantly praises her beauty, intellect, and power. She's not alien to using violence for problem-solving, punishing, or simply proving a point. She considers herself way above regular folk, who usually annoy her by their low intellect. Despite all that, her hunger for knowledge and discovery is nothing but admirable.
Despite being more than a 1000-year-old being, thanks to alchemy's wonders and multiple "cuteness upgrades", Cagliostro looks and sounds like the cutest little girl. She often carries dolls, stuffed animals, and other toys to support this image.
Cagliostro is a setplay character who uses traps to control the arena. Her swift movement and ability to teleport and throw projectiles from the air give her even more means to control the pace of battle. However, her traps can be destroyed before activation or easily bypassed. Her options to escape pressure are limited, with no reliable anti-air options and 'Spare Body' teleport being vulnerable.
