A while ago, Percival was a knight in the Order of White Dragons of Feendrache Kingdom — together with Lancelot, his good friend. They both studied the warrior art and had the same master to guide them.
During that time, Percival was named the Lord of Flames. The source of such a title is quite obvious, as the guy fights with a unique longsword. Not only is his weapon dangerous with its physical qualities, but it also creates magic flames to burn impudent opponents.
Percival reached amazing heights of mastery as a knight. And when it felt like he had nothing to learn, the guy decided to follow another dream, quite an unusual one.
In the vast world of floating islands, Percival wants to build cities and create countries, making them perfect for inhabitants. To do so, he has to accumulate knowledge and expand his horizons on how cities and states are organized.
Percival travels a lot to examine various towns and settlements. He is interested in all sorts of details, like the work of ports for airships or a fair tax system that will be beneficial for every citizen.
In the story of Granblue Fantasy Versus, Percival is a boss in one of the Raid Battles on Lumacie Archipelago.
Percival is a dedicated explorer. Whenever he has an idea in his mind, he dives into it fully. That was with his knight career and warrior training. The same is true for his passion for building a dream country. Still, Perical remains open to other activities and areas to focus on. In a way, he is similar to a curious boy — but certainly with the ability to take his hobbies seriously and bring them to a logical conclusion.
In Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Percival has very effective offensive tools with the ability to buff them throughout the fights. His neutral game is based on long normals, but they are somewhat slow in recovery. Percival is good at punishing whiffs and opponents’ mistakes. He has a command grab to open up an opponent and link combos into it. Träumerei is an important part of Percival’s moveset — the character gets power-up stocks to strengthen his other Specials. The overall damage with Percival is high, but the ability to land and scale it depends on Träumerei power-ups.
Having a flame sword and fighting with the power of fire on his side has been nicely reflected in the appearance of Percival — at least in his default color. Red hair is in tune with the red cloak and fancy elements on the knight armor. Percival is stylish, and you feel the noble might in his posture and clothes.
