Story

In a ruined settlement of native Americans, a woman found a baby. She took the small girl to her family and raised her. The woman was Michelle Chang, and she named the girl Julia.

Before becoming a Tekken fighter, Julia Chang learned the heritage of the native American tribe she lived with. The more she got to know about these people, the more she loved them. And the fondest feelings she had towards her mother, Michelle. Julia paid enough attention to developing her fighting skills - mostly to protect her people.

Some disturbing rumors reached Julia and Michelle about disappearing martial artists. Michelle Chang decided to travel to Japan and talk to Heihachi Mishima about this situation. When it was apparent that Michelle was not returning home, Julia participated in the third King of Iron Fist Tournament. This rescue mission was successful - Michelle was safe, but still, Julia couldn’t stop the plans of Heihachi to awake the God of Fighting, Orge. He used a unique pendant of Michelle to do so.

After that, Julia got busy rescuing the planet - mainly because a vast desert threatened to destroy the lands of her tribe. Julia started to work on planting trees and returning forests. She worked with a scientific team inside G Corporation, but Mishima Zaibatsu stole precious data and made the whole project impossible. To retrieve the data, Julia enters the fourth and then fifth King of Iron Fist Tournaments. She met Ganryu, who liked the girl, and helped Julia. But their relationship remained somewhat official and cold - Julia wasn’t interested.

Saving the world has become a kind of hobby for Julia. After the successful mission of reforesting the Earth, she discovered the evil nature of Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama. To prevent them from obtaining even more power, Julia enters the sixth tournament.

Her role in the seventh King of the Iron Fist Tournament is a bit less noble. The girl becomes a blogger and informs her viewers about everything happening at the event.

Personality

Julia is a sweet and caring woman who has a deep affection for her adoptive mother Michelle and her tribe and her homeland in the Philippines. To her credit, Julia is a courageous person who, when faced with adversity, will stand her ground and fight for the greater good to protect the people and things she holds dear to her heart. Besides being passionate about her homeland, Julia is also intelligent. Her interest in archaeology, which she pursued while researching forest rejuvenation, provided her with a wealth of knowledge in the natural sciences and information technology equally. Julia’s dedication to good causes often takes precedence over her own personal life, to the point where she appears to be completely unaware of the affection shown to her by others, most notably Ganryu, who has been in love with her for a long time but has yet to express his feelings for her.

Playstyle

Julia, who was raised by her adoptive mother Michelle, has a fighting style that is nearly identical to Michelle’s in appearance and execution. There are several variations of Julia’s kicks and fast strikes, many of which can be linked to other attacks, allowing for multiple variations of the same move. Despite the fact that Julia is weaker than the average character, her unpredictability, combined with her speed, can make her a compelling character in the hands of a capable player.

In addition, Julia’s attacks cover a wide range of heights, and because many of her attacks are quick and can be chained into other attacks, it is possible to deal significant amounts of damage through juggles and combos. Julia’s wide range of attacks also makes her a good character for forcing errors from opponents, and her versatile moveset can be useful in breaking the defenses of more defensive adversaries.

Appearance

Julia is a Native American woman who has brown eyes and long brown hair braided down the back, typically fastened with colorful hairbands while styled into bangs on either side of her face. She also frequently wears a headdress with feathers tucked into the side of her head, which is a nod to her heritage. Thus, much of the jewelry and accessories Julia wears are of traditional Native American design or contain patterning that is in keeping with her heritage.
