Noctis is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy XV and a third DLC character for Tekken 7. He was revealed during the 2017 Tekken World Tour Finals and released on March 20, 2018.
Noctis Lucis Caelum by the full name is a son of King Regis Lucis Caelum and a rightful heir of the throne of the Kingdom of Lucis. While traveling to his wedding with Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, his hometown and capital, the city of Insomnia, was insidiously attacked and ruined by Niflheim Empire. Noctis' father King Regis has been killed and the heavy burden of protecting the kingdom and confronting the Niflheim Empire and fast-growing demonic threat lay on the shoulders of the young prince. However, Noctis has a powerful Armiger in his possession - a ring, which is a symbol of royal power and a mighty tool of protection at the same time, since it allows Noctis to summon one of 13 royal arms, weapons of the Lucis' former kings, to aid him in crushing his foes and also warp across the battlefield. Besides, Noctis can also use battle magic and, thanks to his bride and an Oracle, Lunafreya, he can also summon the devastating power of Gods to his aid.
In times of peace, Noctis is a simple young lad who loves to play video games, fish or simply spend some time with his friends and protectors - Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Scientia, and Prompto Argentum. Despite having a hard time expressing his emotions and sharing his worries and thoughts, Noctis always was and always will be surrounded by people who care about him and will aid him in solving any troubles along the way.
Everyone who played Final Fantasy XV will recognize a lot of Noctis' moves since they're mostly retained from the original game. Overall, Noctis is a quite simple defensive character with a wide variety of tools to keep his opponent away and punish them on blocks and whiffs. With help of his royal arms, Noctis can easily deal a huge amount of damage with his mid-long attacks while they simply won't be able to reach him. And his f+2, a warp strike, is probably one of the best punishes in the entire game. However, in close combat, Noctis suffers more from lacking viable pokes, strings, and command throws. He can still be a threat while having an upper hand, but overall Noctis shows his true potential and efficiency while maintaining distance.
