More about Chrom:
Chrom is the prince of Halidom of Ylisse and the brother of Lissa and Emmeryn. He’s a distant descendant of the famed Hero King Marth, who lived when the lands he’s hailing from were still called Archanea. Being in charge of the defenses of his country, he leads an elite militia force called the Shepherds.
During one of the scheduled patrols close to the Plegia border, Chrom finds an unconscious person on the ground. This stranger happens to be Robin, a talented strategist, the game’s another protagonist and player’s avatar. This newly met tactician soon proves their worth when the brigands from Plegia launch an offensive towards the nearby town. Following this battle, Chrom convinces Robin to join the ranks of the Shepherds.
Shortly after this incident, undead soldiers of unknown origin come from the mysterious portal and attack Chrom and Lissa. One of the Risen is dispatched by Chrom, but the second one nearly manages to fatally strike his sister. She is saved by an intervention from a mysterious masked person who introduces themselves as Marth. This person leaves a warning of dire events awaiting the heroes in the future.
When Chrom tries to gain Khan of Ferox’s aid to battle Plegians, he is attacked by Raimi, one of the nation’s knights. After the misunderstanding is cleared up, she tells them that the country has been previously attacked by the Plegian forces led by Chrom’s look-alikes.
In a bid to make Flavia a new Khan of Ferox, as she promised to aid Ylisse, Chrom has to battle the current Khan’s champion. This person happens to be "Marth", the same masked figure who saved Lissa’s life previously. After this champion is defeated, Ylisse receives its aid, and this marks the true beginning of the conflict with Plegia.
Chrom is one of the protagonists of the immensely successful Fire Emblem Awakening, and he made his Smash debut in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. There, he’s an Echo Fighter to Roy, in the same way that his daughter Lucina is to Marth. His main strengths lie in his high mobility, consistent damage output, and strong aerial game. On the other hand, his recovery times aren’t particularly great, and he can be easily put in unfavorable situations due to his very close combat nature.
