DBFZ at Combo Breaker 2023: Adult and God-Like
Who would you pick for your team to win six games in a row and the whole tournament?

Combo Breaker is always a great event for DBFZ fans — the participants are super strong, and the matches are just intense. But this year, the Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament is special. It is the last showcase of the previous game build; you know, with Lab Coat and the Fusions all over the place. Patch 1.32 was released recently, but Combo Breaker is rather fair to the players, who obviously are not prepared for this balance update.

So, who has made their best statement in that version of DBFZ (which already is history)?

Both Nitro and Zane got pretty confident victories in their Winners Semi-Finals, defeating Jake Ryan and Del respectively. In the Winners Final, Zane played spectacularly — and he sent Nitro to the Losers. That wasn’t the end of their fight, though.

In the Losers Final, Nitro defeated Lucar to proceed to the Grand Final, and… let’s keep it a secret for a while.

Zane won two first games of this match and reached the tournament point. But Nitro had a plan (probably). He took Adult Gohan as an Anchor, and the situation changed drastically — Nitro got some mind-blowing moments, reset the bracket, and won six games in a row.

Nitro is the DBFZ Champion at Combo Breaker 2023. Congratulations!

CD Mangaka barely survives in this game (but then still loses the match vs Ren in Top 24).

Jake Ryan almost clutched.

Beerus and a pixel of health.

Deadly Happy Birthday by Jake Ryan.

Lab Coat madness.

Everyone loves grapplers, right?

Not only does Zamasu float, but also he’s good at fighting.

Happy Birthday by Nitro in the Grand Final.

Nitro resets the Grand Final.

What a way to start a game (and win the tournament)!

The next time we see a big DBFZ tournament, the game will be different. Are you practicing the new balance? Maybe with enough training, you will be able to shine at Evo 2023 — perhaps, thanks to the PlayStation FGC Arcade.
