Biography

Biography

Being the daughter of a famous martial artist Mr. Satan, Videl had no choice but to be surrounded by martial arts since her early childhood. When she was little, her main aspiration was to become as strong as her father, but by that time, she has already surpassed him in skill and power. Videl’s mother had a much less significant role in her life, leaving the family and subsequently dying while she was still very small.

During the Cell Saga, Videl’s dad Mr. Satan claims the credit for defeating the fearsome Bio-Android and becomes hailed as the Earth’s new hero. However, unlike the gullible masses, she suspects that it’s not true.

Some years later, Videl meets Gohan and, under somewhat dubious circumstances, enlists his help in teaching her how to fly. Despite a rocky start, their relationship eventually blossoms into an adorable romance, which ends in them marrying and having a child named Pan.

Videl is a tomboyish girl who initially sported long pigtails, but after Gohan suggested that long hair would get in her way when fighting, she cut it very short. She’s very stubborn and can be hot-headed, but at the same time, she’s very resourceful and perceptive.

Gameplay

Pros & Cons

Videl has a very bad manipulating energy, and therefore, her Z-Reflect is substituted for a dodge. This makes her defense extremely weak. Her damage also isn’t topping the charts anytime soon. However, what she excels at is her outrageous mixups – she has several options on every hit, hitstuns on almost everything, and the capability to hit confirm virtually anything.
