Biography

Story

Sergei Dragunov, known as The White Angel of Death and feared on battlefields throughout the world, is one of the most valuable soldiers in Russia's special forces. His story begins when he is sent to Japan to investigate a mysterious object that piqued the interest of the Russian government.

Dragunov fails to locate the object known as the Devil after his successful infiltration of the fifth King of Iron Fist Tournament and is sent back to Russia to quell civil unrest. Mishima Zaibatsu is thought to be behind this sabotage. After a long period of fighting, the government decides to after the source of the problem. They place a large bounty on Jin Kazama's head and send Dragunov to infiltrate the sixth King of Iron First tournament to destroy Mishima Zaibatsu from inside.

To this day, Dragunov has been on a mission to interfere with Mishima Zaibatsu and related targets on behalf of his motherland.

Personality

Dragunov's actions speak louder than any words could. Little is known about his personal life, but when on the job, Dragunov is seemingly unfeeling, extremely focused, and set on perfectly executing his mission. While he's not shown to be outright malicious, Dragunov's intimidating presence puts people off.

Appearance

Sergei Dragunov is depicted as a tall man with pale skin, scars on his nose and mouth, and slicked-back black hair. His iconic outfit is a brown military uniform with two bird silhouettes on the chest of his jacket. In Tekken 7, he received a new design, now wearing black shoes, black suit pants, a light jade color shirt, a black tie, and a blue coat with two birds on the chest, similar to his old jacket.

Playstyle

Dragunov is a highly aggressive character. Good range on his moves allows him to comfortably poke opponents from a safe distance and effectively whiff punish them efficiently. However, Dragunov really shines in close range. Typically, Dragunov will seek to either move in on the opponent or approach with a plus on block running move, which allows him to begin relentlessly pressuring his opponents with various throws, pokes, and damaging counter hit moves. Complementing his overall kit, Dragunov also deals high damage and can carry his opponents all the way to the wall, dealing massive damage in many of his combos. Should the opponent survive that, Dragunov has several good okizeme options to finish them off.
