Little Mac

Born in the Bronx, New York, Mac grew up dreaming of fighting the toughest boxers to set foot in the ring. Unfortunately, many coaches refused to train him due to his small stature and slim frame, except for Doc Louis. The former Heavyweight Champion saw brilliance in Mac and later gave him his iconic title of Little Mac. Much of his training then focused on speed, stamina, and defense. Though Mac did train one powerful offensive move, his uppercut allowing him to stun even the most stubborn of boxers or even knocked them out for good.

As he scaled up the rankings, he faced every harder opponent on the ring and ever harsher training by Doc Louis outside of it. Facing opponents from all over the world, some arguably even cheating by using magic, sodas with enhancing properties, or other quirks to get Little Mac off his feet. It would all pay off in the end, as Little Mac would claim victory against Mr. Dream, the heavyweight Champion at just over 17 years of age. After his success, Little Mac would continue fighting to defend the title from many of the fighters he had faced on his way there, all of whom had adapted their fighting style to face the new Heavyweight champ.

Little Mac is often used as the butt of jokes in the Super Smash Bros community. And for a good reason. He has one of the worst recoveries in the game and can generally be described as a glass cannon. However, connecting strong punches and launching your opponent out of the stage with Little Mac is an experience worth having, if nothing else, for the bragging rights. Little Mac is a fantastic character in the hands of a player capable of maximizing his defensive and punishing playstyle. For everyone else, there are always off-stage compilations.
