With a lot of hype around Tekken 8, fans of Soulcalibur may have pretty controversial feelings. On the one hand, this other game from the same developers gets even less official attention. On the other hand, Soulcalibur VII may be next — and we all are totally ready for this.
Meanwhile, the community has quite exciting SC6 tournaments to enjoy (such as recent Defend the North 2023). And pro players use all their chances to get prepared for the (potential) future release.
The biggest Soulcalibur VI competition happens at Evo. In 2023, the game was present among community tournaments.

In the Semi-Final, Incendiate faced Manta, and it was a super close match. First, Voldo of Manta reached a match point, but then Geralt of Incendiate struck back. (Yep, even in the tournament environment, Voldo looks pretty … weird. But in the hand of Manta, this character shines with special power).
In the parallel bracket, Boom confidently defeated OmegaXcn — it was a fight of Hwang vs Taki. The players had another match later (with pretty much the same result), after Incendiate had won the Winners Final and sent Boom to the Losers too.

There actually were almost no doubts about who the Champion could be. Incendiate repeated his glorious Winners Final — probably with even bigger confidence. Sure, Boom fought amazingly! But… that was the other guy’s victory this time.
Incendiate is the Soulcalibur VI Evo 2023 Champion. Congratulations!
It’s already his second such title in a row — after victory at Evo 2022, where he had to reset the Grand Final.
Evo 2023 continues with many tournaments, and we at DashFight keep you guys informed about this biggest fighting esports event of the year. Stay tuned!
Have you seen our post on the MK11 fights? This is the last official presence of this game at Evo. It will be replaced with the soon-coming sequel, MK1.
