Biography

Story

Cassandra Alexandra was born in Athens, Ottoman Empire, to her mother Nike and father Akelous. She has two siblings – brother Lucius and sister Sophitia. The disappearance of the latter set Cassandra’s journey in motion – Sophitia left before her wedding, leaving but a single note behind. Their mother couldn’t handle this and fell ill, so Cassandra, with her brother, had to run the bakery in her stead.

However, she knew what had happened to her sister and suspected the sort of mission she had left to fulfill. In the past, Sophitia had already gone to destroy the cursed blade Soul Edge, and with the emerging rumors of spreading blight and corruption, it was not difficult to put two and two together. Cassandra questioned Sophitia’s fiancé Rothion, who, after incessant questioning, admitted that he knew what was happening and answered her questions.

This motivated Cassandra to take up arms herself and follow in her sister's footsteps to cleanse the lands from corruption and fight evil. Even after Sophitia came back unharmed, Cassandra knew that her story was not yet over, and she would play a crucial role in the tale of souls and swords.

Personality

Unlike her more refined and dignified sister, Cassandra is much more tomboyish, straightforward, and brash. She’s never afraid to speak her mind and is very quick to display her emotions. However, she’s still every bit as kind as her sister Sophitia and will never back down from any challenge if it means her loved ones will be safe.

Playstyle

Cassandra is a quintessential rushdown character and serves as one of the most prominent examples of this archetype in SOULCALIBUR VI. Every tool in her arsenal is geared towards dealing more damage: she has lots of favorable frames, and her Divine Force special meter mode gives her even more moves with even more favorable frames. She’s also quite fast, so not many can escape her pressure with movement. In addition to this, her grappling game is also on point, which further adds to her offensive nature. If rushdown characters are your thing, you can’t go wrong with Cassandra – especially since she’s very beginner-friendly.

Appearance

Cassandra could be the spitting image of her older sister if not for her tomboyishness – she has much shorter hair, more defined muscles, and general springiness about her that Sophitia lacks. Her golden blonde hair is tied with a white ribbon, and her orange dress provides her negligible protection. Instead of the thigh-high boots of her sister, Cassandra wears leggings with comfortable low travel boots.
