Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Championship 2023: Results
Every region got new Champions (in comparison to Spring)

To be honest, time for the Doubles section of Brawlhalla Summer Championship was chosen quite inconveniently — the same weekend as Evo 2023, so the whole FGC was pretty much busy with other titles. We in DashFight believe in one community, so it feels better not to create such difficult choices for the fans.

But the 2v2 matches sure got their attention! (Have you got all the viewership rewards?) Let’s dive into the matches and check out their results in this recap on DashFight.

Australia | Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Championship

A lot has happened on the Australian Brawlhalla scene since the Spring Championship and even since a much more recent tournament BAM 2023. In a nutshell — many top players were banned (permanently), and an unsettling drama is taking place in the local community. Now, Asmodie also skipped this 2v2 Championship even without getting banned (she tweeted about quitting).

Anyways, the matches still were interesting to watch. We hope the scene will recover and new players will shine with their amazing Brawlhalla skills.

Dooblakek / Rygunduz made their way through the Winners bracket in Top 8. After a confident victory over Dummy / Kylar Alice, they had a very close Winners Final vs Bidai / Bread.

The Grand Final was against Shadoww / Phy, and Dooblakek / Rygunduz won this fight 3:1.

Dooblakek / Rygunduz are Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Champions 2023 in Australia. Congratulations.

Southeast Asia | Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Championship

KeithThePooPoo / Tiger had a better result than in the Spring Championship (where they made it through the Losers side but lost in the Grand Final to Sire / Vortex).

This time, KeithThePooPoo / Tiger entered Top 8 through Winners and had good, solid victories over Serenity / ero in the Semi and over ` Le Plum_ / Yunpyo in the Winners Final.

The Grand Final turned out to be rather shaky. GTG / DolaN, who fell into the Losers after their Winners Semi-Final, defeated the “champion” team of himwy (the 1v1 Summer Champion) and Sire (a 2v2 Spring Champion who got another teammate). GTG / DolaN got a clear win in the first match vs KeithThePooPoo / Tiger and reset the bracket. In the decisive game, GTG / DolaN won game 1, but then the opponents returned to their true power and got three games in a row.

KeithThePooPoo / Tiger are Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Champions 2023 in Southeast Asia. Congratulations.

Europe | Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Championship

acno? / Blaze are well known for their 2v2 might. Not only do they dominate the European scene, but also they are pretty strong globally. One of their recent achievements is victory at 2v2 DramHack Valencia

In this Championship, they defeated Jakeyy / Blitz in the Winners Semi. And then, they faced very strong opponents, Godly / Neeze (yep, it’s always a challenge to face the Summer 1v1 Champion and DreamHack Valencia 1v1 Champion with Neeze, who performs amazingly at many events). The match was back and forth. When the opponents had a match point, acno? / Blaze won two games and proceeded to the Grand Final through the Winners side.

Godly / Neeze had another difficult match vs Blew / Kresuu in the Losers Final, and they lost again.

In the Grand Final, Blew / Kresuu fought really well and won one of the games. But still, the opponents were stronger.

acno? / Blaze are Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Champions 2023 in Europe. Congratulations.

South America | Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Championship

The Brawlhalla community in South America is super passionate, and the matches here are very interesting to watch. Players from this region are getting stronger on the global scene — this year, yüz won Spring Royale and DreamHack Dallas. Other SA competitors have a strong presence at the international tournaments too.

In the first Winners Semi-Final, SAC / Wess got a clear victory over Neuz / Fiend. In the parallel bracket, lores / Kyna defeated Power / yüz.

In general, lores / Kyna dominated the tournament this time. They obviously wanted to do better than in the Spring 2v2 Championship. And perhaps, Kyna wanted to repeat his success from the 1v1 Summer Championship.

In the Winners Final, these players won vs SAC / Wess. And in the Grand Final, they left almost no chance to Power / yüz.

lores / Kyna are Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Champions 2023 in South America. Congratulations.

North America | Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Championship

Maid / Experience is a very strong team in North America and worldwide. They won the 2v2 Spring Championship and played really well at DreamHack San Diego. Their first match was against java / fakey — and… Maid / Experience lost. This speaks a lot about the opponents’ current power.

The NA Summer Champion, luna, teamed up with Snowy. They defeated dawg / Zen in the Winners Semi. But they also fell victim to java / fakey.

When it seemed like the team of java / fakey is unstoppable, the guys lost the Grand Final to Hideaway / anime. These players kicked out of the tournament both “champion” teams of Maid / Experience and luna / Snowy. But after resetting the brackets, Hideaway / anime could not repeat their success.

java / fakey are Brawlhalla 2v2 Summer Champions 2023 in North America. Congratulations.

The last seasonal online event, Brawlhalla Autumn Championship, happens on September 22-24 (Singles) and September 29 - October 01 (Doubles).

And on September 1-2, we can enjoy the Brawlhalla Summer Royale Invitational.

Stay tuned to DashFight for everything Brawlhalla esports (and fighting esports in general)!
