Smear

Samer "Smear" El-Sharkawi is a professional fighting games competitor and tournament director from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His key disciplines are Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Project M, Project +, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where they main Snake. 

In Project M, he is known to win over such prominent players as Odds, Quaff, and Jams.

Smear's career in competitive Smash began at The Fifth Angle ft. Bladewise, Locus in 2017 (SSBM). He played Melee and SSBWU in the following years, taking part in such notable events as: 

• 2017: в The Fifth Angle ft. Bladewise, Locus, Salt Flats 2017 (the 2nd in singles), Salt Mines 2017, For Glory 3: The Guardians of the Prairies, Randall City.

• 2018: For Glory: Age of Folie (4th place), Salt Flats 2018, Jarrett's Tournament 4.5, SMSH 301 (the 2nd in singles), Salt Mines 2018 (the 1st in doubles). 

Since early 2019, Smear has been playing SSBU. He competed in it at such events as:

• 2019: For Glory: SmUsh vs. Ultimate, Smash Ultimate @ U of A #5 (the 2nd place), Smash @ UofA #7 - Feb 8 (the 1st place), Salt Flats 2019 (13th in singles), Tournament Arc Winter 2019: The Saga Continues! (5th place), Frozen Phoenix 2019 (17th in singles), Smash And Ladders (7th place), The Pinnacle 2019, VORTEX, Smash at The Comic Strip #5, Animethon 26 - Tournament Arc Summer 2019 (7th place), Pure Gaming 2019. 

• 2020: Smash at The Comic Strip: Punching Up, Salt Flats 2020, All the Marbles (9th place), SFU Esports Fall Scrapdown: Smash Ultimate (4th place), AESA - Extra Life Game Day 2020 (the 2nd place). 

• 2021: Salt Flats 2021 Presented by Telus (9th place), Thursday Night Doubles #33 (the 3rd place), Peaks and Valleys, Edmonton Direct, and others.
