The Verse 761 of Sokan’s One Thousand Verses, named the Demon Bride, once stated, “The night is freezing, I sense the spear-bearer nearing. It gets colder.”
Young Hattori was incredibly gifted with the blade, skilled enough that the Emperor had offered a prize of one thousand horses to anyone that could defeat her in combat. For years on, countless warriors traveled to the country every single day only to be defeated by her. But one day, the Demon Kagima had made his appearance, challenging Hattori to a duel. She felt his immense power and decided she’d flee. In his anger and fury, Kagima would kidnap Hattori’s three sisters and take them over to the island kingdom he resided in.
Frightened by the outcome of her decision, Hattori hastily built a boat out of reeds and approached the Demons island kingdom. Losing herself at sea, a stork lord would show her the passage between twilight and the night directly to the Demon’s realm. Hattori made her way to the realm, finding herself in a rather strange world that contained talking stones, and an eight-armed ferryman. Once in the city of the Onyx Castle, Hattori met Demon Kagima’s very own brother. The Demon gave Hattori a deal: he would offer his strength to her to defeat his brother, but she would have to marry him.
A desperate Hattori agreed to the conditions, and the Demon, being true to his word, exchanged his blood for Hattori’s. Making her way to Kagima, she would battle and slay him, freeing her sisters in the process. Now making Hattori the Queen of the Island Kingdom, the demon blood she had would burn harshly inside her. Driving her to roam the twilight and night passages until she’d eventually discover a place called Valhalla. Now fighting in the tournament, she battles the lust for combat that threatens to consume her entirely.
Hattori wields the Sword as her primary weapon and the Spear as her secondary weapon.
The Sword is a quick attacking but lower damage weapon. Its kit is suitable for both defensive zoning and building up damage with combo attacks without losing pressure, perfect for beginners learning the game.
The Spear is a long stick with a sharp edge. It’s useful for poking hits and spinning movements.
While having below-average strength and defense, Hattori makes up for it with her high speed and above-average dexterity, suitable for players who enjoy stringing combos.
