Houston Tech Rodeo

After the dearth of in-person fighting game events from the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, The Houston Tech Rodeo hosted The FGC Showcase from 21st - 22nd May 2021. With a prize pool of $1500, the event was conducted in a safe environment with a mask mandate and social distancing protocols in place.

The offline tournament (the organizers emphasized NO LAG OR NETCODE) had participants competing in 3 of the most popular fighting games, DragonBall FighterZ, Street Fighter V, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
