Cammy

Story

Cammy has a mysterious past that no one is sure about. As long as she could remember, she was a member of the shadowy organization known as Shadaloo. There she worked as an elite assassin who went against the biggest targets and was always victorious. Things took an interesting turn when she was sent on a mission to eliminate the shaman Dhalsim. She sought to carry out her mission but failed and was defeated by Dhalsim, who also broke her free from her brainwashing. Now aware that Shadaloo are not the good guys, Cammy’s mission became getting her fellow dolls out of the control of Bison, who was the head of Shadaloo. 

She would manage to succeed, but in the process, she was knocked out and had to be saved by one of Bison’s henchmen, Vega. She was then left at the door of British Intelligence. She was taken in and, with her skills, was recruited by an arm of British Intelligence called Delta Red. She developed amnesia and could not remember her past. With Delta  Red, she would investigate Shadaloo via the 2nd World Warrior tournament. Finally able to confront Bison, she was told the horrible truth— she is a Bison clone and was made so that the dictator would have a body to transfer his consciousness into upon his demise. Rocked by this news, she was on the verge of giving up but was encouraged by her other Delta Red members and reminded that with them, she has found a home.

When she was informed of an organization known as S.I.N which was on the path to unleashing terror on the world, she went to investigate and discovered the BLECE Project. In the process of retrieving the files, she was attacked by C. Viper and to protect everyone, she deleted the files. She also ran into Decapre, one of her sister dolls from her time with Shadaloo, and wanted to help her, but the crazed doll wanted nothing to do with Cammy and wanted instead to kill her. Decapre was taken away by Bison. Cammy returned to Delta Red and told them about the BLECE project. 

In Street Fighter V, she was on a mission to help all the dolls and break them free. To do this, she forms an unlikely alliance with Juri and helps with the Black Moons search. She faced a final showdown with all the dolls and was able to finally break them free from the control of Shadaloo. Shadaloo was also brought to an end after the defeat of Bison and while Cammy could not be the one to dish out the finishing blow, she could at least watch the mighty empire that was Shadaloo finally come to an end. She was able to experience closure with her fellow dolls, who are now free to pursue their lives. 

In Street Fighter 6, Cammy is now over her past, or at least it seems that way. She continues to work for British Intelligence and is hopeful for a bright future. 

Appearance

Before Street Fighter 6, Cammy usually appeared in a green leotard, black boots, a small harness, and a red beret. She wore gauntlets and wore her hair in twin pigtails. Nowadays, she is older and dresses differently. Now, she wears a midriff-baring sports top with a blue jacket. She has lycra pants and wears red boots. The gauntlets are still in play, and they are black and red. Her hair is now in a simple bob, and she looks a lot more mature as a character.

Playstyle

Cammy has always been a traditional rushdown character. Her speed and precision make her a very scary prospect, and while she doesn’t usually have the best health, she can deal some pretty decent damage.
