Juri Rises & Ken's Popularity Continues in July's Character Usage

Capcom has released the character usage information for July. These rankings showcase which characters are the most popular in the game's ranked mode, not necessarily the ones with the best results. Perhaps, unsurprisingly, there have been very few changes in these compared to June.

Notably, Juri has taken the first spot for Rookies, while also sneaking into Platnium+ playerbases. It would be interesting to see if this is due to Juri mains being able to rank up themselves or if some players at those levels have begun moving over to other characters where JP and Manon used to be.

The other interesting detail is Ken's strong presence throughout the rankings two months into the game, taking 3rd, 1st, and 1st across the board. Of course, Marisa and Ryu are also worth noting in the platinum+ category.

However, next month should be one of the more interesting ones. Evo 2023 has showcased a lot of viable high-level characters, and already tier lists have been relatively stable. Rashid's inclusion into the game will also surely skew results, not just in his favor but taking away from existing characters.
