Top Japanese esports organization Crazy Raccoon has officially announced the launch of its Street Fighter Academy, a new initiative aimed at scouting and nurturing promising Street Fighter players for potential recruitment into the team’s professional roster.
This move presents an exciting opportunity for aspiring pro players in Japan to gain support, sponsorship, and a stable platform to build a career in competitive fighting games.
According to Crazy Raccoon’s official statement, the recruitment process is currently underway. Interested players must be residents of Japan and possess a strong command of the Japanese language. The academy is open to anyone aged 13 and above, though minors will need parental consent to participate.
Evaluations will be conducted by the current members of Crazy Raccoon’s Street Fighter division, along with team officials. Final selections will be made during a judging event scheduled to take place between August 11th and 13th, 2025.
Crazy Raccoon has built a reputation as one of Japan’s top Street Fighter teams, with a strong track record in the Street Fighter League and a roster that has included standout names like Dogura, Kazunoko, Shuto, and Bonchan.
