Viral Screenshot Shows Deplorable State Of Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1 seems to be in grave danger of becoming irrelevant following months of distress and frustration. The 2023 game came out to great fanfare, but the cracks became visible as soon as the honeymoon period was over. 

Now a new viral screenshot taken by pro player, MK Tom Brady, shows the stark decline in the Mortal Kombat player base. The screenshot is from Twich showing the number of players playing various games and Mortal Kombat was placed between Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8. The other two games had significantly higher numbers with MK only having about 45 players. 

Fans and players alike have responded with sadness and frustration at the current state of the game which many consider to be unplayable. Fans have been left dissatisfied with the game following netcode issues, gameplay issues, and so on. 

There were rumours that the game's support cycle would end soon with no plans to do anything new with the game.
