No New Content for Mortal Kombat 1

NetherRealm Studios confirmed today that Mortal Kombat 1's Definitive Edition bundle announced earlier this month will indeed be the last content update for the game which is only a couple of years out from its release.

The franchise has had rough patches in the past, but as one of the best-selling fighting game series, to throw in the towel early certainly feels surreal, as Street Fighter, Tekken, and Guilty Gear will all see developer support for longer than MK.
