NetherRealm Studios Announces the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection

The Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection is an upcoming release by NRS, developed by Digital Eclipse. It aims to bring the original Mortal Kombat titles to the modern era, including claimed rollback netcode multiplayer. The Kollection is set to release later this year on all consoles and PC via Steam. The announcement also alludes to a short docu-series going over the games' original development and Ed Boon's recollection of those early days of Midway.

Digital Eclipse will be heading the development efforts of the titles, as they have brought forth older games. These include titles like Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind, or their other most recent compilation of titles, Tetris Forever, both released in 2024.
