Evo Brazil 2027 makes history with record-breaking Day 1 ticket sales

Evo Brazil will make its debut in 2027 with eight games, including Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1, Tekken 8, Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, The King of Fighters XV, and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

There had been doubts about the success of the event, but if the information being released is anything to go by, Evo Brazil has broken the record for Day 1 ticket sales across all Evo tournaments.

This means that the event has recorded more Day 1 ticket sales than Evo Vegas, Evo Japan, Evo France, and Evo Singapore, which points to the hunger and interest in the event within the region.

The organizers made this information known through their X account, where they said:

“Brazil, we've already made history! Evo Brazil has BROKEN the RECORD for ticket sales on Day 1 among ALL Evo editions!

“Secure your tickets now and be part of this historic moment on March 26, 27, and 28 in São Paulo!”

It seems each Evo will have some local flavor, as Brazil is showing with the addition of Mortal Kombat 1 as a main stage game and the excitement that has followed that announcement.

Evo Brazil will be the second of nine Evo tournaments to take place across 2027, and anticipation already seems high. The results of having more Evo tournaments will become clear over time, but the expansion seems to have started well.
