The Group Stage is over, and we know four teams who will fight for the chance to proceed to the Grand Finals

This tournament series is very special. It contains team matches in the traditionally 1v1 discipline. Also, Street Fighter League has two divisions: Japanese and American (or rather international). Let’s talk about the Pro-JP League in this post.

Not only does it have the best Street Fighter players in Japan (and therefore some of the best in the world), but also the league has its group stage over. So, we have two reasons to remember it and check out the results.

And yeah, playoffs are right around the corner!

We name all the teams and all the players in this post, which highlights results after seven and a half rounds — that was almost the middle of the league. Checking it out is a good way to feel the progression in this long-term event.

After 14 Rounds, the team Good 8 Squad is the winner of the Group Stage. Gachikun, Kawano, Pugera, and Kichipa-mu finished with the impressive result of 11 wins, 1 loss, and 2 ties. They won their spot in the upcoming Grand Finals event.

The gap between the leader and the second team is rather huge. The team V6 Plus FAV Rohto Z! Got 6 victories. Mildom Beast, the team of Daigo Umehara, managed to get third place. Shinobism Gaming finished fourth. GyoGun with their fifth place is the last team that proceeds to the Playoffs.

These teams will fight for two spots in the Grand Final to then decide who will fight against Good 8 Squad.

Street Fighter League Pro-JP Playoff matches are planned for January 8. They will be streamed through this paid service — it’s like purchasing tickets to an event. VODs will be shared for free a bit later.

All the Group Stage matches are now available on the Capcom Fighters YouTube channel. It’s a great chance to enjoy top-level Street Fighter! What about fights of Round 14?

In January 2022, Japan will host another CPT qualifier — this means more fights between great players. Meanwhile, the last Capcom Pro Tour of 2021 was in the UK.
