Good 8 Squad Wins Street Fighter League World Championship
The team from Japan was too strong and took the Championship in an astonishing finale

Good 8 Squad emerged as the Street Fighter League world champions after a riveting finale against Team UYU. The Japanese champions were pitted against the best from Europe and USA and came through it with a great victory.

The Street Fighter League World Championship was a tournament held between the champions of SFL USA, Japan, and EU

Good 8 Squad had to first overcome EU's representative, Team Mouz, before playing a first-to-two match. This means the winning team had to win two whole games consisting of three sets to win.

UYU won the first set, before Good 8 Squad won the second set. It was down to the wire, and it was none other than Kawano, who took the whole thing for his team, defeating Korea's NL in the final match.

The winning team now gets to walk away with a cool $80,000, and who knows, maybe there is a mental element to this as Kawano's win could go some way in preparing him for Capcom Cup's top 16 where he will be up against the most in-form player in the world in Zhen.

Congratulations to Good 8 Squad!
