Ed Boon Teases Reptile Reveal For Mortal Kombat 1 Trailer at Evo

Ed Boon, a certified master of toying with his audience, has been quite the teaser about the content of what Netherrealm studios will be showing at the Evo 2023 finals. So much so that fans are convinced Reptile will be the next character revealed for Mortal Kombat 1.

Earlier this month, the team revealed Geras, who will be a Mortal Kombat 11 returning character. All eyes were on Friday, as Mortal Kombat 11's top 6 at Evo was taking place, or at least that was what we all thoughts before confirmation that the latest Mortal Kombat 1 trailer would air during the Sunday Finals. 

The team at NetherRealms Studios has already made one bombastic announcement before at the SDCC, including an all-star cast of new full and Kameo fighters. Perhaps Ed Boon is playing some misdirection, focusing on Reptile's, now all but confirmed appearance while hiding away more significant reveals. With the game releasing in just a few days over a month, all eyes are on NRS to show up and meet the high bar that its competitors are setting.
