Duck King Gets the Spotlight in New Fatal Fury: CotW Animated Short

Fatal Fury released an animated short along with Duck King, who is the latest character to join the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves cast.

The animation was made by the legendary Masami Obari, who is best known for his work on the Fatal Fury animated movie.

The short featured Rick Strowd as he made his way to a dance concert with Duck King, who was entertaining everyone with his dance moves, only for him to reveal that he would be joined by Salvatore Ganacci. The two have something of a dance-off before Duck King again reveals that Terry Bogard is there to entertain. At this point, Rick Strowd crashes the party and starts to fight Terry.

However, Rock Howard then suddenly joins the fray and looks to take over the fight. Rick asks which of the two he has to turn his fists on before leaving the scene.

The short also had Mai in a new costume that fans are hoping will be added to the game in the near future.

CotW still seems to be receiving support even with less-than-stellar sales, with the game reportedly yet to break the 1,000,000-copy mark. With the game being backed by Saudi Arabia, it is unclear if there will continue to be support even with poor sales.

The competitive side of the game is going strong, with the game regularly featured in all the biggest fighting game tournaments in the world.

CotW is in its third season, with Duck King being the second character released after Rick Strowd. There will be four more characters in this season, including Kim Kaphwan, Laocorn, and two mystery characters that are yet to be revealed.
