Rick Strowd, Duck King, Laocorn and Kim Kaphwan will be joined by two more characters in a exciting 3rd season for the game
SNK have officially revealed the lineup for Season 3 of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
Following a teaser trailer released two days ago, SNK has now confirmed that Rick Strowd, Duck King, Kim Kaphwan, and Laocorn will join the roster. They also revealed that Season 3 will feature six characters, with one releasing each month. This means that between July and December, City of the Wolves will receive one new character every month.
The remaining two characters are still a mystery, but one will be released in October and the other in December.
This is similar to the approach taken in the game's first season, when Ken Masters and Chun-Li from Street Fighter were added as guest characters. So perhaps the mystery characters will also be guest fighters.
On top of that, SNK also confirmed that all Season 1 and Season 2 characters will be available for individual purchase. This means players can buy only the characters they want without having to unlock the others.
The character release schedule is considered impressive and is much faster than that of just about any other fighting game at the moment.
For example, many fans have been frustrated by the pace of Street Fighter 6's character releases. The current rate is four characters per year, and with City of the Wolves releasing six characters in six months, it will certainly spark some discussion.
Season 3 of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves kicks off on July 23 with the release of Rick Strowd. The game is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
