Brawlhalla Autumn Royale: Kaya is Back to Business
South America, the land of Kings!

This tournament completes the tradition of having an Invitational event right after an open seasonal Championship — but sure, only for 2023. This format has certainly proven to be super interesting, and we can expect to have it in the Brawlhalla Esports Year Nine (2024). Hopefully, Blue Mammoth Games will expand the geography to AUS and SEA.

The Autumn Royale traditionally had two parts:

  • Round Robin, where everyone played vs everyone;
  • Top 4 brackets.

Even if it is too late for the viewership rewards (obviously), it’s never too late to just enjoy the matches. These pro players have mastered the game to an amazing level, so they certainly have the power to teach us a trick or two.

Brawlhalla Esports | Autumn Royale 2023, Round Robin

Eight players participated in this Invitational tournament, and they don’t really require any additional introduction (even if you follow Brawlhalla esports only occasionally). Godly, Neeze, and Mounir come from Europe; Kyna and lores got their spots at the Autumn Championship in South America. Sandstorm, luna, and megD are top players from North America.

What could we highlight in the results of the Round Robin part? It’s quite unusual to see luna, the Winter King, winning one match only (over lores) and finishing 8th. Godly demonstrated quite a potential to become (finally) a monarch — with only one lost match (to megD).

Sandstorm played Tezca throughout the whole tournament (including Top 4). lores did that with Kaya. megD stuck to Val.

Four players to proceed to the brackets parts were: Godly, lores, Sandstorm, and megD. All three regions got their representatives.

The Winners Final was super close: Godly reached the match point, but eventually, lores managed to win this fight.

Godly switched to Raymen for the Losers Final and confidently won a match vs megD.

The same strategy did not work well in the Grand Final. Godly did not return to Wu Shang (Chun-Li) or Mordex but tried Rayman and Teros (Roman Reigns). Nope, lores won three games in a row this time.

lores is the Autumn King of Brawlhalla. Congratulations!

This victory makes South America an absolutely dominating region with this format of Brawlhalla esports: yüz won the Spring Royale; Kyna is the Champion of the Summer Royale.

The ultimate Brawlhalla event of 2023 is right around the corner — the World Championship happens on November 3-5.

We will still be able to enjoy some super interesting community tournaments before BCX 2023. Players from different regions will have a chance for last-minute competitive preparations.
