Battle Arena Melbourne was announced as one of the Master events for the Tekken World Tour meaning that a win was worth 400 precious points which means all the sharks and killers were in attendance including arguably the greatest Tekken player in existence, Knee.
The Korean legend was one of the favorites and he made no mistake winning in the Grand Final against Japanese stalwart, Rangchu.
Top 8 action started with an upset. ChandNY was pitted against Knee and promptly defeated him 2-0 and sent him to Losers'. Knee'sFox was no match for ChandNY and the Australian moved on. However, Knee, well known for his ability to surmount the odds, went to Losers' and beat everyone all the way to the end.
Rangchu was the other standout performer and he won all his games including ones against CHANEL, and ChandNY before facing Knee in Grand Final.
On the other side of things, after Knee's setback, he defeated Infested, and CHANEL, before doing the runback against ChandNY and winning 3-1. Knee's loss might have been partly because the tournament was first to 2 until Winners' final. Knee then went to Grand Final and in a very tense match was able to cause a reset against Rangchu. In the second set, Knee was a lot more assertive and won the tournament 3-1.
