Street Fighter League USA Reveals Roster For 2024 Season

The wait is over as the team rosters for Street Fighter League USA have been revealed with 6 teams, with the notable exception of NASR Esports, vying for the USA league title. 

There are some returning teams including Bandits who were the champion of last season and Red Rooster also return. The other four teams are new team names, but with several familiar faces.

The 6 teams competing this season are:

• Red Rooster
• Fighting Spirit
• Cloud9
• Shopify Rebellion
• Fly Quest
• Bandits

Red Rooster

Red Rooster have returned with two stalwarts in captain, Mono, and Ajax Fidelity who can now use Ed again. They also brought in some new talent including Canada's Brutus, a Zangief main who has been really good for year and Uriel Velorio, a Capcom Cup qualifier and a strong Ken user. With Mono's A.K.I and Ajax's strong Ed, the team has a lot of character variety. 

Fighting Spirit

For the second season running we have a team that is made up of all the same players, but a different name. Last season, Versus Vortex competed in SFL US with the very same members who had been on Team UYU and had won the tournament with them. Now, they are back, but under yet another name, Fighting Spirit. This makes them the most stable team as they have been together for at least 3 seasons. 

Cloud 9

Cloud 9 are one of the most exciting teams of the season and they are made up of a veteran in JB who has been on SFL for numerous seasons under different teams. He is joined by his brother, Lexx, and one of the most talked about players in North America, NoahTheProdigy. Booce, a much newer player, has made waves including a very impressive win over MenaRD in the World Warrior tournament. 

Shopify Rebellion

NuckleDu is back leading his team in what is a partial replacement of team UYU where Dual Kevin and NuckleDu competed last season. They added Sayff, an unpredicatable Canadian player who made top 8 at Capcom Cup earlier this year, and veteran of the scene, HotDog29. 

Fly Quest

Punk who is the current Evo champion has cobbled his team together with ChrisCCH, one of the strongest players in the West coast of the United States while Psycho is something of a returning player who has a lot of tournament experienced and is one of the strongest Kimberlys in the world. The roster is rounded out by Shine who is a veteran and proficient in several characters including Juri, Kimberly, and Ed. 

Bandits

The final team are the ones that won the last season but with only two returning players in MenaRD and Caba. The team is then rounded out by Mena's brother, Luiman20, the strongest player in the Dominican Republic and a powerful Dhalsim. The last name might be a surprise to some as Zhen and Mena have something of a rivalry going on as the former has somehow gotten the better of the latter in various scenarios. But according to Mena, that made him ideal as other teams could not use him against Mena, and his Bison which he is using alongside Dee Jay will give many teams a headache. 

Street Fighter League will commence from the 16th of October 2024.
