Street Fighter 6 Shows Off Much Awaited Ingrid Gameplay In New Trailer
And she's looking like arguably one of the most interesting characters in the game.

Out of every character on the Season 3 line-up, Ingrid was easily the most mysterious and possibly anticipated one. We already knew what Sagat, C. Viper, and Alex play like. Technically same goes for Ingrid, but never really got fleshed out into a proper character, and her last proper appearance was decades ago.

It was pretty much a given that would get a major redesign, and that indeed seems to be the case. Even though she retained a lot of elements from Street Fighter Alpha, how they actually play out is much different.

While her Alpha had unusual projectiles and many ballet inspired moves, the SF6 version is a whole other ball game. Capcom is putting a much bigger accent on Ingrid being a sort of hybrid between a mahou shoujo and an "extradimensional being," giving her a profoundly anime toolkit.

Her new Sun Shot doesn't just have unique arcs, it has trickier angles and varying speed depending on the version, with OD version persisting while other projectiles are on the screen. She also gets another set of projectiles in Sun Flare, which feeds into the Sun Crest mechanic. By doing light Sun Bursts or diagonal air projectiles, you can stock up stocks and use them to power up heavy and OD versions of Sun Flare.

The closest move to her oldest kit is the DP that looks like (but isn't) a flashkick. As usual, light is good as a DP, medium is good for combos, and heavy+OD versions allow for follow-ups. Additionally, the counter makes a return as well, though seemingly no longer separated into high or low versions. It won't work against Supers or multi-hit attacks, but can counter projectiles and single hit attacks.

Finally, perhaps the most interesting part of her toolkit is the new teleport that also offers several different location options. Pressing forward will move her forward and execute a safe on block kick attack, pressing back will move you back, and pressing down will drop Ingrid on top of her opponents with a downward attack.

Her supers are a bit more standard by comparison. You got the reversal level 1, cash out level 3/CA, and a rather interesting level 2, which allows you to summon a controlled rain of projectiles within an area, with optional power-ups if you have Sun Crests stored up.
