When Mortal Kombat 1 was released, many fans were super excited for the game and eagerly got into it enjoying the dynamic new systems and the great single-player story. It told the story of Mortal Kombat differently from it had ever before.
However, soon the problems started as things like poor netcode, desyncs, and a lack of content that players were happy with. This has led to a lot of complaints about the game which seem to have fallen on deaf ears.
In the midst of all this, one of the top players of the game, SonicFox has stated that he will no longer play the game if the problems persist.
SonicFox said this in a tweet on X where he said:
I am hopeful that it is not too late for MK1 to get back on the right track.
I know there are certain things that are completely WB’s fault and not necessarily NRS, but it doesn’t change the situation we are in.
If not, I will drop the game. I’ve done this many times already.
SonicFox went on to explain that the game is still a lot of fun, but the lack of communication, clarity, or even care being shown by the game's developers towards fans has caused the current disinterest in the game.
