SNK Teases Reina Mishima as Fatal Fury: CotW’s Next Guest Character

SNK dropped a bombshell by teasing a collaboration with Tekken 8, where it seems like Reina Mishima will be joining the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves cast.

The video teaser, titled ‘When Destinies Collide’, features Geese Howard looking over the city from a great height while Rock Howard is in the streets looking for something, or someone. Then, just out of his sight, there is a silhouette that looks very much like Reina Mishima. We never get a good look, but the shot reveals that there will be a CotW x Tekken collaboration.

It is likely Reina will be the second (or third) mystery character to join the game following the announcement of Mikey and Draken from Tokyo Revengers. Incidentally, short gameplay trailers for both characters were also released by SNK. Mikey fights with powerful strikes reminiscent of Makoto from Street Fighter 4, while Draken is more of a conventional brawler who fights with passion.

The strategy from SNK is fascinating to see, as they now have guest characters from two of the biggest fighting games in Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8, and also have a collaboration with a major anime. This is on top of the controversial decision to add real-life DJ Salvatore Ganacci and football star Cristiano Ronaldo to the game. With Reina, it will bring the number of guest characters to eight. This isn’t by any means the largest number, but it is something remarkable.

We should get more information about the collaboration at a later date, but based on speculation, she should join the game in December 2026.
