Not that bad, all things considered!
When any major fighting game reaches its later stages, it's always an event in and of itself. People are always looking out for the list of players who were good enough to crack it into the top, and get a shot at the first place.
However, it often serves as a gauge of the game's balance as well. You know something is wrong when your top 8 consists of only 2 characters.
Looking at the top 32 for Street Fighter 6, things don't seem too bad at all.
Of course, it's obvious that the stronger characters on the roster are quite over-represented. Six Kens in top 32 is almost absurd, but looking at the greater picture shows that over half of SF6 roster is good enough to make it into the top 32 at en even as huge and fiercely competitive as Evo.
It arguably only gets better when we get to the top 8 (even though Evo is all about top 6 these days). Out of 8 possible characters, we got the full 8: Ken, Ed, M.Bison, Blanka, Cammy, Rashid, Deejay, and Akuma.
All of them are great characters, but it says a lot when people are still surprised to not see some other great picks to not make it into this selection.
