R1p's Arena Brings Prize Pool To Weekend MK1 Tournaments

Several weeks ago, R1p's Arena announced its $5,000 Mortal Kombat 1 event. The structure is relatively simple: four weeks of qualifiers that lead to the final tournament. However, it seems like not every player was happy with such a format. As a result, tournament organizers announced an addition of prizepool to their weekend tournaments.

Every Saturday, the top-8 of the European tournament will get a portion of the $150 prize pool, and every Sunday, $150 is waiting for the top-8 of North America. It is worth noting that currently, it is not applied to PC tournaments, making a money bonus exclusive to PlayStation 5 players. Also, this prize pool doesn't substitute the qualifying for the final event. So you can get valuable points and a small cash bonus.
