New Information About Mortal Kombat 1's seasonal Invasions Content

NetherRealm Studios has released the first teaser trailer as to one of Mortal Kombat 1's game modes. We all know and love to dig deep into the story for this new timeline, but alongside it, there will be seasonal content, not unlike that of other recent games. 

Invasions, as these are being called, will feature a table-top-like experience, with a map that players explore and an RPG-esk level-up system, allowing players to slowly work their way to more formidable challenges. Be it classic fights or mini-games.

Some of the unlockable content through these maps are fighters' skins and other cosmetic features with a new map and presumably new cosmetics coming with each new season. There is no news yet on how long each season will last or if some content will only be available during a particular season. But, with the game rapidly approaching release, we won't have to wait long until we find out.
