With Mortal Kombat 1 just around the corner on September 14th, the team at Netherealm Studios likely welcomes the news of their Gamescom award with open arms, as the same demo that was available for those who pre-ordered just won Gamescom's 2023 best Microsoft Xbox Game.

The demo present at the event did not include any new characters, but it seems it was enjoyable enough for people attending to crown it the best on the Microsoft console.
