Mortal Kombat 1 Sneakily Added a New Tournament Feature on PS5

Great news for those of you who have games on their PS5, one of them just got a pretty cool feature.

One of the users over at Test Your Might forums discovered that Mortal Kombat 1 now has hourly integrated tournaments, at least on PS5.

The feature already appeared in some older fighting games, but it's rare to see it be implemented on this level and actually offer nice rewards to the winners.

With such a frequency, it's only natural that the tournaments cap out at 16 players, which seems like a perfect size for this sort of thing. Not only does it make it easier to populate the tournament, but it also gives players of all skill levels a better chance to reach the top.

It's not clear if this feature will appear on other platforms, but it certainly would be a nice addition.
