Kombat Kast: Omni-Man & Tremor Showcase & Invasion Season 2 Details
With the imminent release of the first set of characters in the Kombat Pack, the team at NetherRealm Studios gave us an early look at them.

Earlier this week, the team at NetherRealm Studios announced a new Kombat Kast to showcase the first set of characters joining the Mortal Kombat 1 roster as part of the Kombat Pack. Here is everything you might have missed from the stream.

Invasions Season 2: "Season of the Blood Moon"

The next season of invasions will feature Nitara as the major antagonist of the story, with a lot of blood-inspired cosmetics. The team has added and changed many of the queues as well as a new mesa, the Rampart.

Among the changes to the mode, Super armor is no longer part of normal enemies, only bosses. There is also now a progressive tower in the gateway portal mesa. Once you beat it, its difficulty will increase each time. This new tower will have exclusive skins.

Critical hits in invasions now always do 3x times as much base damage, auras and stage conditions have been toned down, and there is also a lower chance of ambushes. The rosters for each mesa are now more diverse, and secret fights have harder requirements.

On the currency side of things, Season 1 items can still be earned through the shrine.

Omni-Man

Omni-man is a brawler with hard-hitting punches. F4 is his advancing mid, with the character having a slightly high bias. He has a number of tools to close the gap to opponents. His core mechanic is the Viltrimute stance, which gives him heightened speed and a handful of button presses that deal a lot of damage.

During this stance, Omni-Man is invulnerable to all projectiles, by spending a bar the stance comes out quicker and makes him invulnerable to normal attacks.

Tremor

Tremor is a new Kameo in the game. He has three versions, each with its own set of tools. You can cycle through the versions in-game by pressing the Kameo Assist button.

  • Aftershock: This is the offensively minded version, that will likely add extra damage to combos or create safe attacks for slow specials or normals.
  • Metallic: More range than aftershock's moves, with a projectile.
  • Crystalline: He has two attacks, one which blocks projectiles, and the other provides you with crystalline armor.

Tremor also has an ambush version, allowing you to switch and use a move at the same time.
