Gachikun's 'Good Luck Hotel' Strategy Revealed for Tournament Triumph
The former Capcom Cup winner was happy to reveal this and more in a post-victory YouTube video

Gachikun has now booked his place at Capcom Cup and will ensure that the tournament has at least three Japanese players in it. In a video in which he released on his YouTube channel, he thanked fans for their support, but also intimated that the hotel he stayed at for this tournament was the same that he stayed in 2018 when he won the CPT Asia Regional Finals at SEA Major Singapore.

In that tournament, he defeated Tokido 3-0 to make it into Capcom Cup which he also went on to win against Itabashi Zangief.

In the video, he also claimed that he was interested in the $1,000,000 prize but that what was most important to him was a new costume for Rashid. His Rashid from Street Fighter V was famed for the baseball kit outfit that was peculiar to him (no one else seemed to use it).

Gachikun had to defeat NL, Moke, Nauman, and Chris Wong (twice) to win. He had already said that he thought he would be eliminated on the first day and this is true as he tweeted about the bracket's difficulty. But he made it through and is now on his way to Capcom Cup.

Maybe he will be able to repeat his 2018 run? That way, he will join MenaRD as a two-time winner of the competition albeit in a different game.
