Scorpionprocs Wins Chile's Fourth World Warrior Tournament

Chilean player Scorpionprocs recently won the fourth World Warrior tournament for his region against Blaz, making it his first big win in Street Fighter 6.

Chile has been in the grip of Blaz for the last year and a half, with the prodigy winning just about every tournament. His streak was finally broken in the last World Warrior when Craime took the victory, and the prodigy was unable to win again, this time being stopped by Scorpionprocs.

Scorpionprocs made his name on the NRS scene with Evo wins in Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat 1 and only started to feature in Street Fighter 6 recently. He and his twin brother, Nicolas, have been improving in leaps and bounds, and it has finally culminated in a win in the World Warrior series.

Could this mean a qualification spot for Scorpionprocs for Capcom Cup? That remains to be seen, as Craime has qualified for the showpiece event next year through the Esports World Cup, and with spaces limited, the World Warrior provides one of the only other ways to make the Capcom Cup.

When Chile was given its own region, eyebrows were raised, but with the sheer amount of talent coming from the region, perhaps they merit their own space, and we will see how well they do in the near future.
