After some intense practice, the pro player has a pretty good understanding of the power balance in the game
Mortal Kombat 1 has been around for 2+ weeks, and actually, a lot has happened for this period. Enthusiastic content creators share their amazing discoveries, like deadly combos and wonderful synergies between characters and kameo fighters. Some really cool tournaments take place online and offline. And sure, many casual players just have fun with these bloody fights.
Is this period enough to start forming tier lists?

We can expect to see many other authoritative players joining this party. And it’s cool to see an MK1 Tier List by Forever King.
A bit earlier, the guy started to post top-level competitive sets — and many more are available on Forever King’s YouTube channel. Let’s also check out the tier list video!

Forever King says that his tier list assumes we take the best kameo for everyone. As it’s just a huge topic, for many hours to discuss, such an attitude feels pretty optimal (especially because Forever King names kameos for some characters).
Some of the interesting placemats are
- Sub-Zero in B (he was nerfed with Day 1 Patch)
- Baraka in S (Baraka/Cyrax is named the best team in the whole game)
- Havik is in A+ (he wins many tournaments, including MK1 at CEOtaku — Havik/Sub-Zero by Stryker)
- Johnny Cage is S (Forever King names him the best rushdown in the game)
- Raiden is S and number 1 in the game (he abuses the kameo system the best)
- Mileena is in A (even if there were five Mileenas in Top 8 of the recent MK1 4o4 Fight Night — but sure, two players switch to other characters for the Grand Final)
- No one is C

This division could be compared to the real performance in upcoming MK1 esports events — like the tournament at REV Major 2023, one of the biggest gatherings of the SEA players.
