The Dragon Ball FighterZ community started to actively test the improved online matchmaking right after it was enabled on Steam — temporary, for now. The first rollback tournament happened on November 30: Online WarriorZ #20 featured players across different regions, like NA, EU, and even Pakistan.
Another interesting tourney, FighterZ Duel Academy Rollback Beta NA #1, was (obviously) focused on North American players. And that’s cool, as the distance between the coasts is quite significant, and rollback should solve the issue, making the matchmaking smoother.
Quite a few strong players reached the Top 8 part, including Hikari, the Evo 2023 Champion, Lucar, the winner of CEOviedo, and Garlic Bread, the dominant power of the West Coast. INZEM used this opportunity to test various team compositions.

Levi_Shoto faced Hikari in the Winners Final, and got an impressive 2:0 victory. The next victim was Garlic Bread — with 3:0, Levi_Shoto proceeded to the Grand Final.
INZEM fell into the Losers brackets after the Semi-Final vs Garlic Bread. But then, he started experimenting with the active team and defeated three opponents on the way to the Grand Final. The most interesting choice of characters was in the Losers Semi against Danjol_. INZEM took a full mirror match, and that rarely happens in DBFZ.
In the Grand Final, INZEM forced Levi_Shoto to switch teams too. The match reached game 5, and Levi_Shoto took other characters — to win the tournament.
We expect to witness a few other DBFZ tournaments before the rollback testing is over. Stay tuned to DashFight for info on the most interesting of them.
