Dhalsim Returns to Street Fighter 6 with Updated Yoga Fire

Capcom posted a new video on their official Twitter account showing old and new Yoga Fire mechanics for Dhalsim from Street Fighter 6. 

Unlike Blanka, who will get a completely different setup built on a combination of puppets and electricity, the Indian sage will only expand the potential invested in the hero in Street Fighter 5. The already familiar V-Skills, Yoga Sunburst and attack chains will return in the new iteration, which is still built around mid-range strikes and fireballs.

Some pro community members have already noted their concern with this new version, potentially considering him too strong an opponent. For example, David 'UltraDavid' Graham believes that Dhalsim will become an insurmountable obstacle for Zangief:

And Kawano is not sure that he will be able to defeat Dhalsim in the future:

Anyway, We are unlikely to know the actual state until the first opportunity to experience the game.

Street Fighter 6 beta testing will take place from 7 to 10 October 2022. Eighteen characters will be available in the full version, but it is not yet known how many of them will be in the beta. It is expected that cross-play will also be available during this period. However, Capcom has not yet officially confirmed this information. The release of the project will take place in 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Microsoft Windows.
