A huge event to start a long and awesome adventure

Evo is coming, and the fighting games community is full of anticipation.

For Dragon Ball FighterZ, Evo 2022 has a special meaning, as it starts a new World Tour. And it’s happening only three weeks after the World Championship Finals in Paris. Are you ready for a new beginning of the biggest competition in the DBFZ world?

Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour 2022/2023 | Announcement

The World Tour consists of online and offline qualifying events. Depending on the type, they bring different numbers of qualifying points. Evo is the first such event, and it’s of a POWER+ type, so successful players get the most points.

DBFZ World Tour 2022/2023 takes place in 13 Regions — during the recent DBFZ Show #7, Bandai Namco announced 11, but then they added Brazil and the Middle East. To proceed to the Global Finals, the players have to fight for the top spots in their regions.

DBFZ players from other countries can participate in the Extended Division.

It’s unlikely that the World Tour increases the motivations of Evo participants — but only because the prospect of performing well at such an event is motivation enough to demonstrate everything you are capable of.

Still, it’s somehow comforting to know that the esports journey for Dragon Ball FighterZ doesn’t end on Evo. We will enjoy many more top-level matches! Who knows, maybe the community will even get an interesting announcement from the developers…
